The property tax millage rate and water rates proposed to be levied to support the proposed budget will be the subject of this hearing held by the Freeport Village Council.
Public comments, either oral or written, are welcome at the Public Hearing. A copy of the proposed 2026-2027 budget is available for public inspection at the Freeport Village Office, 200 S. Seeking Village Trustee – Village of Freeport
Must be a Village Resident for at least the past six months and not be a defaulter to the Village of Freeport. Must be able to attend monthly meetings: Committee of the Whole Meetings held on the 1st Tuesdays each month at 6:30 pm and Council Meetings held on the 2nd Mondays each month at 7:30 pm
Interested applicants wishing to serve as a Village Trustee on the Freeport Village Council to fill a partial term ending November 3, 2026 may submit a letter of interest with resumé to (or to obtain an application) freeportclerk@gmail.com or mail to PO Box 10, Freeport, MI 49325
Applicants and nominations will be considered and shall be filled by appointment of the Freeport Village Council.

*Barry County Household Hazardous Waste Collection Site dates are 5/17/25 & 9/20/25 at Barry County Expo Center / Fairgrounds 9am – 1pm
